Assist Local Red Cross clients by providing emergency assistance to alleviate human suffering caused by a variety of area disasters.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN AMERICAN RED CROSS - DISASTER RESPONSE VOLUNTEER?
Provide timely response to area disasters and assist those affected.
Respond to local disaster scenes as assigned by Team Leader within two hours of notification.
Meet the needs of those affected by disasters such as the need for emergency shelter, food, and other emergency needs by providing Red Cross assistance and services.
Complete the required training for the position.
Complete the forms related to services provided.
Provide referrals to other assistance agencies.
Communicate with Team Leader about your availability and readiness on a regular basis.
